As I just began my Master's program, I do not have many academic accomplishments yet under my belt. However, I do have some from my early years in Girl Scouts that I am equally proud of. Fun fact, I think these awards truly helped me get into colleges so easily back in High School.
Awards
Bronze Award - The Bronze Award is for Girl Scouts in the 4th or 5th grade. One must step back and search for ways to better the community. For my project, I accrued over 25 hours of volunteer work at a local animal shelter. I worked with volunteer mentors to document my progress and achieved this goal.

Silver Award - The Silver Award is the next award for Girl Scouts in the 6th, 7th, or 8th grade to work towards. For my project, I accrued over 50 hours of community service. I made over 10 blankets for a local shelter, assisted in decorating a Rose Parade Float, and volunteered at various local events. These events included church occasions and the River Rally (a group of people cleaning up the wash).

I also want to point out, I have participated in a Biological Sciences poster session, to which I presented my research plan and any progress I have made thus far. I did not win, but I plan on gaining more experience with poster sessions and hopefully winning some awards in the future!
